The Supreme Court decided
Gonzales v. Oregon today in favor of Oregon and its assisted suicide law. In a case more about federalsim and executive power, the Court ruled that the Attorney General doesn't have the power to issue "interpretive rules" that can override a state government's decisions about what is a legtimate medicasl use for a drug. Congratulations to Oregon 's Bob Atkinson, whose performance at a moot court in Ames
inspired some of my better work.
